Best baby tracker for two parents: both of you, one shared day

Updated 12 October 202610 min read

Veilleuse is our pick for two parents. Each of you has your own account on one family subscription, and every feed, sleep and nappy shows on both phones. Here is how five other trackers handle sharing, and who each one suits.

We make Veilleuse, a baby tracker for iPhone, available now on the App Store. We tried to be fair to every app here: each price and feature below comes from its App Store listing or its own pages, checked in October 2026.

The short answer

For two parents, Veilleuse is the baby tracker we recommend. Each of you signs in with your own account on one family subscription, and every feed, sleep and nappy one of you adds shows on the other phone about 30 seconds later while the app is open. Every entry shows who added it, so “did you feed her?” has an answer. Either of you can also ask “when was the last feed?” or use Siri with the phone locked. Nara Baby or Baby Connect is the better fit if you need unlimited carers, such as a nanny or daycare.

What two parents need from a baby tracker

When two people look after one baby, the hard part is not writing things down. It is knowing what the other person did. Who fed her last? Which side? When did she fall asleep? Did anyone change the nappy before the nap?

A tracker for two parents has to answer those questions on both phones. Here is what matters:

  • Two accounts, not one shared password. You each sign in as yourself, and you can see who added what.
  • The same day on both phones. A feed added in the nursery shows up in the kitchen without a text.
  • Fast adding for the parent holding the baby. A tap, a timer on the lock screen, or Siri.
  • A week view you can talk through together. So you can see if nights are getting longer, side by side.
  • A fair price for the whole family. One payment that covers both of you.

1. Veilleuse (Our pick): each parent on their own phone, the same day

Veilleuse is a baby tracker for iPhone, available now on the App Store. Sharing between parents is where it is strongest.

Each of you has your own account

One person creates the family and becomes the owner. They invite the other parent with an 8-character code or a link, valid for 7 days. The other parent signs in with their own account, using an emailed 6-digit code or Apple. From then on you both have the same rights to add feeds, sleep and nappies. Only the owner can remove someone from the family.

The Family plan covers three people (the owner and two carers) and up to three babies. So two parents and a grandparent, or two parents and a night nanny, fit on one subscription.

Every feed and nappy shows on both phones

When one of you saves a feed, the other phone gets it about every 30 seconds while the app is open, when the app comes back to the front, and when the phone reconnects. It is not live to the second, but it is quick enough that the second phone shows the same day. Feeds saved offline are sent later.

Every entry carries its time, an optional note and who added it. That ends a lot of “did you do the 3 AM bottle or did I?” in the morning.

Home shows the last feed, nappy and sleep

Home shows today for the baby: how long since the last feed and which side is next, the last nappy, sleep and pumping. Below that, a recap for each type. The parent coming home from work can open the app and know where the day stands in a few seconds.

Adding a feed with the baby in your arms

Most things are added with the + on each Home card: feed, sleep, nappy, pumping, bath, growth or medicine. Sleep, breastfeed and pumping have timers. A running timer sits on the lock screen and in the Dynamic Island, with a Stop button on iOS 17 or later.

With iOS 17 or later, Siri works with the phone locked. “Wet nappy in Veilleuse”, “She’s asleep in Veilleuse” and “When was the last feed in Veilleuse?” all work. Siri saves for the baby shown in the app. Our guide to tracking your baby with Siri has every phrase.

You can also say or type one sentence with several things in it, like “bottle at 2 and a wet nappy at 3”. Veilleuse turns it into cards, you check them, then you tap Save all. Other apps log by voice now too. The useful part is the full loop: several things at once, a check before saving, and questions answered from your own entries. Either of you can ask “how many nappies today?” or “how long did she sleep this week?” and get a number worked out from what you both saved.

The baby’s week, for both of you

On the Family plan, the week view has one small chart per type: sleep hours, feeds, nappies split wet and dirty, pumped ml and baths, with daily averages. Tap a day to see everything in it. Two tired parents can look at the same week and agree on what happened.

Price, and what Veilleuse does not do

Sharing is part of the Family plan: $11.99 a month, with your first month at half price, or $79.99 a year for the whole family. It also adds voice, sleep prediction, and sleep and nappy reminders on every phone. The free plan is for one person logging one baby by hand, so it cannot be shared. No ads. Veilleuse is iPhone only (iOS 16.4 or later). There is no Android app, so a parent with an Android phone cannot join. It has no Apple Watch app.

2. Huckleberry: best if one parent has Android

Huckleberry is a sleep-first tracker. Its SweetSpot feature predicts the next nap. It runs on iPhone, Android and Apple Watch, so it works if one parent has an Android phone. It has 4.9 stars from about 74,000 ratings.

For sharing, carers sign in to the same account on each phone. The free tier covers basic logging and reports. On the US App Store, checked in October 2026, Plus is $11.99 a month or $68.99 a year and Premium is $14.99 a month or $119.99 a year, with a 2-week trial.

Best for: a home where one parent has an Android phone.

3. Baby Tracker (Nighp): best free option with ads

Baby Tracker (Nighp) is the most-rated tracker on the App Store, with 4.8 stars from about 227,000 ratings. It covers feeds, sleep, nappies, pumping, growth with WHO charts, medicine and milestones, on iPhone, Android and Apple Watch. It syncs across devices, and since October 2026 Group Plus shares a Plus subscription with the group.

All core tracking is free with ads. On the US App Store, checked in October 2026, Remove Ads is $4.99 once and Plus is $5.99 a month or $49.99 a year. It has PDF and email reports.

Best for: parents who want a capable free tracker and do not mind ads.

4. Nara Baby: best for a big family on one payment

Nara Baby is a calm tracker that also covers pregnancy and postpartum. It runs on iPhone, Android, Apple Watch and Mac. Unlimited carers and children are covered by one payment.

It is no longer free: there is a 7-day full trial, then the app becomes read-only (view and export). On the US App Store, checked in October 2026, it costs $9.99 a month or $99.99 lifetime. It has 4.9 stars from about 24,000 ratings.

Best for: families with more than three carers who would rather pay once.

5. Baby Connect: best for daycare and nannies

Baby Connect runs on iPhone, Android, the web and Apple Watch, with an Alexa skill and Siri. It tracks everything, including temperature and potty training. Unlimited carers are included, and that covers daycare staff too.

There is no free tier: a 7-day trial, then read-only. The Family plan is $6.99 a month or $49.99 a year on the US App Store, checked in October 2026. It has 4.8 stars from about 14,000 ratings.

Best for: families who share care with a nursery or a nanny, or want to check from a computer.

6. ParentLove: best free sharing for breastfeeding

ParentLove was designed with a lactation consultant (IBCLC) and is built around breastfeeding. Its free version covers feeds, sleep, nappies and pumping, with unlimited carers. Upgrades are one-off: Pro $24.99 or Pro Family $39.99 on the US App Store, checked in October 2026. It runs on iPhone and Android, without Siri or an Apple Watch app. It has 4.9 stars from about 1,000 ratings on iOS.

Best for: breastfeeding families who want to share for free.

How to pick a tracker you will both use

The best app for two parents is the one you both open. A few questions help.

  • Do you both have iPhones? If yes, Veilleuse fits. If one of you is on Android, look at Huckleberry, Nara, Baby Tracker (Nighp), Baby Connect or ParentLove.
  • How many people help? Veilleuse covers three people. If a nanny, a nursery and two grandparents all add things, Nara or Baby Connect cover unlimited carers.
  • Do you want to see who did what? With your own accounts in Veilleuse, every feed and nappy shows its author.
  • Who holds the baby at night? That parent needs the fastest way to add things: a lock-screen timer or Siri with the phone locked.

If you are sharing feeds in a notes app or a chat today, our comparison of Veilleuse vs paper, Notes and WhatsApp shows when that is enough and when an app helps. For the full list of trackers, see the best baby tracker apps of 2026.

Questions parents ask

What is the best baby tracker for two parents?

We recommend Veilleuse, because each parent has their own account on one family subscription and both phones show the same day. Every entry shows who added it. Nara Baby or Baby Connect is the better fit if you need unlimited carers.

Do both parents need to pay for Veilleuse?

No. One Family subscription covers the whole family: three people and up to three babies. It costs $11.99 a month, with your first month at half price, or $79.99 a year. The free plan is for one person and one baby, so sharing needs the Family plan. Veilleuse is available now on iPhone.

How do I invite my partner?

In Veilleuse, the owner shares an 8-character code or a link. It stays valid for 7 days. Your partner signs in with their own account and joins the family.

Do feeds show up on both phones right away?

Close to it. Veilleuse syncs about every 30 seconds while the app is open, when it comes back to the front and when the phone reconnects. It is not live to the second.

Can my partner use Android?

Not with Veilleuse, which is iPhone only. Huckleberry, Nara Baby, Baby Tracker (Nighp), Baby Connect and ParentLove all have Android apps.
