Veilleuse vs Glow Baby: which baby tracker suits your family?

Updated 12 October 20267 min read

Veilleuse is the calmer pick if you want to save feeds, sleep and nappies quickly and share them with your partner, with no ads. Glow Baby adds a parent community and articles. Here is how the two compare, feature by feature and price by price.

We make Veilleuse, a baby tracker for iPhone, available now on the App Store. We tried to be fair to Glow Baby: every Glow Baby price and feature below comes from its App Store listing, checked in October 2026.

The short answer

For feeds, sleep and nappies shared with the family, Veilleuse is the better Glow Baby alternative. You add things with a tap or one sentence, ask “when was the last feed?” and get the answer from your own entries, use Siri with the phone locked, and see timers on the lock screen. Each carer has their own account on one family subscription, and there are no ads. Glow Baby is the better fit if you want a parent community and articles in the same app.

Veilleuse: feeds, sleep and nappies saved in seconds

Veilleuse is a baby tracker for iPhone, available now on the App Store. It does one job: it helps you save what happened to your baby and share it with the people who look after them. There is no feed of posts and no articles. You open it, add the feed, and go back to the baby.

Add a feed or a nappy with one tap

Home has a card for each thing you track, each with a +. Tap the + on the feed card to save a breastfeed (left, right or both, with an optional timer), a bottle (formula, expressed milk or mixed, in ml or oz) or solids. The nappy card saves wet, dirty, both or dry. Sleep, pumping, baths, growth and medicine have their own cards. Most things are added this way.

Say the bottle, the nappy and the nap in one sentence

When you have a lot to catch up on, say or type one sentence, like “bottle of 120 ml at 6, wet nappy, and she slept from 7 to 8”. Veilleuse turns it into up to 8 draft cards. You check them, fix anything that is wrong, then tap Save all. Other apps now log by voice too. What helps here is saving several things at once and checking them before they go in. Voice is part of the Family plan.

Ask when the last feed was

You can ask in a sentence: “when was the last feed?”, “how many wet nappies today?”, “how long did she sleep this week?”. The answer is worked out from your own entries, never guessed. You can ask up to 3 questions in one sentence. Asking is part of the Family plan.

Start a sleep with Siri, with the phone locked

On iOS 17 or later, Siri works with the phone locked. “She’s asleep in Veilleuse” starts a sleep. “Wet nappy in Veilleuse” saves a nappy. “When was the last feed in Veilleuse?” tells you the time. A running sleep, breastfeed or pumping timer shows on the lock screen and in the Dynamic Island, so you see the timer without unlocking.

The whole family adds feeds on one subscription

Each carer signs in with their own account. The Family plan covers three people (you and two carers) and up to three babies. Changes sync about every 30 seconds while the app is open. Every entry shows who added it, so a grandparent’s afternoon bottle is there when you get home. Our guide to the best baby tracker for two parents goes deeper on sharing.

Feeds, sleep and nappies for the whole week

On the Family plan, the week view shows one small chart per type: sleep hours, feeds, nappies split wet and dirty, pumped ml and baths, with daily averages. Tap a day to see everything in it. On any plan, you can export the whole family’s history as a CSV file at any time.

What Glow Baby does well

Glow Baby is a tracker with a parent community and content built in. It has 4.7 stars from about 23,000 ratings on the US App Store.

  • Community and articles. Parents can read and talk to other parents in the same app they track in.
  • Free core tracking. You can track the basics without paying, with ads.
  • More devices. It runs on iPhone, Android and Apple Watch, so it suits a home with an Android phone or a parent who uses a Watch.
  • A lower yearly price. Premium is $59.99 a year, with a 7-day trial, and it promotes AI-powered insights.

Price: what your family gets

Veilleuse is free to start: one baby by hand, with timers, Siri and the lock screen timer, and no ads. The Family plan is $11.99 a month, with your first month at half price, or $79.99 a year (about $6.66 a month). That covers three people, each on their own account, and up to three babies. There are no ads, and voice, questions, sleep prediction and reminders are included in the Family plan (up to 30 AI requests a day, shared by the family).

Glow Baby’s core tracking is free with ads. Premium costs $59.99 a year or $29.99 per 3 months on the US App Store, checked in October 2026, with a 7-day trial. So Glow Baby Premium costs less per year than the Family plan. Both apps have a free version, and only Glow Baby's shows ads. The Family plan covers the whole family.

Why we think Veilleuse is the better choice for most families

  • No ads. The app is a tracker and nothing else, so a 3 AM feed is a tap and done.
  • Several things in one sentence. Say the bottle and the nappy together, check the cards, then save.
  • Answers from your own entries. Ask when the last feed was, or how long she slept this week.
  • Siri and timers on the lock screen. Start a sleep or check the last feed without unlocking.
  • Every carer on their own account. Three people and three babies on one family subscription.

Who should still pick Glow Baby

  • You want a parent community and articles in the same app as your tracker.
  • Someone in the family uses Android or tracks from an Apple Watch.
  • You want free core tracking and ads do not bother you.
